Next Thursday I’m delivering a presentation on Slipstreaming Windows XP and how to create a LiveCD version of XP at Ridgewater’s Hutchinson campus around 6:30. I don’t know what room, but I assume it’s somewhere near their classes and labs.

I’m in New Mexico this weekend geeking it up with Chris and company as well as doing some intense programming for Dream.in.Code. But it’s not all work, there have been some really fun times. For instance I finally meet Josh Rivera who is one of those rare people who’s internet persona is truly a mirror of their real life self…but better. I also had the pleasure of meeting a Scott MacCurdy who runs Sustainable New Mexico which is a “guide” to green living in (Albuquerque?) New Mexico. However, Scott isn’t your typical “Green Nut”, he’s actually very Conservative guy. Something I find quite refreshing in that arena of politics/concern.

Today we pretty much finished up the new ad code and are now cutting out old files and code that doesn’t do anything. So right now, it’s just fighting the small fires of when things break because of an unforeseen dependency. By tomorrow, things should be done and I’ll be on my way back to Minnesota.

Albuquerque New Mexico here I come!

One of my many clients, Chris Kenworthy, decided that it would be beneficial for me to go down to Albuquerque to meet with him and talk about the plans and stuff concerning Dream.in.Code.

So next weekend I’ll be flying down to New Mexico to meet and work with Chris on some new projects to make Dream.in.Code even better! I for one, am pretty excited!

Code Snippets 2.1 is LIVE!

After a long month of development, Code Snippets 2.1 has been released. Our very own snoj worked very hard and put up with a lot of last minute problems.This release has the following new features:

* BBCode in Comments/Instructions/Description
* Report Bad/Broken Snippets
* Sort Snippets by Rating, Views, Submission Date, Author
* Pagination
* Rate Snippets!

So go ahead, rate your own snippets, rate other peoples snippets. The highest rated snippets display first in each category!

Over the next couple days, there may be delays in kudos or approval as any last bugs are worked out.

Code Snippets 2.1 BETA

Alrighty! Code Snippets 2.1 has hit beta testing!

Some of the many changes:

BBCode (though currently only code, b, and i tags are allowed).
Report Snippets, you can not report snippets to the admins and mods if you think it’s unworthy.
When a snippet is edited, the old version sticks around. This will later be used in CS3 to make a “Snippi-wiki”.
Sorting. Sort the snippets by rating, views, submission date, last edit, and author in ascending or descending order.
Pagination. Default snippets per page is 25, but you can put it higher…or lower!
Rate Snippets! If someone has an awesome snippet, let ‘em know with a little appreciation by rating their snippet!

Try it or just look at it’s awesomeness!

Bigger…better….uncut!

Well maybe not “uncut”, but the latest version of Code Snippets for Dream.in.Code is certainly awesome with it’s pagination, sorting, rating system, and the whole mess of backend additions for the moderators. This thing takes awesome and redefines it into something even awesomer….yeah.

It’s still in dev/beta, so it’s not available to the public, however within the next week or two it’ll be all ready to go!
